Are you married kids, pets, etc? - I am married for 24 years to Greg and I have 2 sons, Andrew age 21 and James age 17 who has Cerbral Palsy with Developmental Delays. We also have a pitbull named 'Q'(from James bond movies) a cat named Lucky Dog and several fish.
Do you have any hobbies? - I read, knit and crochet and garden.
What made you decide to join your direct sales company? - I loved the homewares and I thought it would be a great opportunity to be able to rearrange my schedule so I can be home with James.
How long have you been in business? - 10 years
What do you like best about the company? - The support that we have with our Executives. We have online tutorials in addition to conference calls and area meetings.
What has been your biggest challenge? Not letting anything get me down. Usually it is due to James' health issues so I have to try and stay upbeat.
What has been your greatest strength? - My people skills and the ability to relate to just about everyone.
What has been your biggest achievement? - Keeping up with the homeshows and growing my business.
What advice would you give women starting out in home business? - Make sure that you invest your time into the home business your are looking for. You have to love the products in order to sell them and to get your customers to keep coming back.
How do you balance work and family? - I am able to schedule my homeshows around my husband and older son's work and school schedules. This way I am out and they are minding James.
Your family comes first.
How do you promote your business both offline and online? - Online I advertise on websites like this and offline I carry my catalogs with me and make donations to basket auctions using my catalogs and business cards to advertise.
