Meet Panthea Baker
Are you married kids, pets, etc? -We have 6 children and 4 grandchildren. We are expecting 2 more grandsons in 2010. We have a 110 lb beagel mix named Dutch.
Do you have any hobbies? - I have crocheted since I was 9 years old. Developed my own patterns for my Barbie dolls and I continue to design my own patterns with crocheting for my children and grandchildren. I also love to garden and design out door areas that are appealing to the eye.
What made you decide to join your direct sales company? - I wanted a way to stay home with my kids. I was a Victim's Advocate and saw so many juveniles in crisis. I wanted to be the adult in my teenager's lives to direct and guide them on a path that would take them to their desired goals in life.
How long have you been in business? - I have been with FourPointGroup now 6 years. Absolutely Love what I do.
What do you like best about the company? - I get to set my own hours and work around my family's schedule. I don't have to worry about calling my boss to get the time off to spend with my kids or take them to the doctor's office. I also like that I can change a person's life by adding to their economic future. People cannot get hurt financially from this company. This company enhances people's lives everyday!
What has been your biggest challenge? I had always wanted to find something to do from home that was profitable, but I was always afraid to take that leap of faith. Taking that leap of faith was the most difficult thing that I have ever done, and I'm glad I made that decision.
What has been your greatest strength? - My desire to enhance the lives of others. When you are looking for ways to help others achieve their goals, your's just naturally are achieved as well. I have the power to lead people to their desired goals, not mine, but their's.
What has been your biggest achievement? My biggest achievement has been to build a successful business during the worst economic crisis this country has ever faced in my lifetime.
What advice would you give women starting out in home business? - Check out reputable sources when investigating a company. Don't be lured by those websites that extort money from companies just to "buy" their good ratings. Check out the Better Business Bureau and United States Chamber of Commerce. These are reputable sites that have been around for many years!
How do you balance work and family? - It's a challenge everyday. But I decided a long time ago, that my business is a priority just like my family. When something is a priority, you don't let it sit on the back burner all month, you pay attention to it. When your kids need medical attention, you find the time to get it for them. Just like your business, when you need to work, you need to find the time to open your doors for business.
How do you promote your business both offline and online? - I work my business in many different ways. I advertise in newspapers, on line advertising, social medias, and also word of mouth. We teach our team to promote their business in all different arenas.
What are your goals for 2010? My goals in 2010 are to find those individuals who are just like me. They are ready to make a change and in order to that, you have to make a change, right?
