Are you married kids, pets, etc? - I have two precious female felines who keep us entertained and provide lots of love.
Do you have any hobbies? - When I have time, I love to read, garden, and cook.
What made you decide to join your direct sales company? - It was simply too good of an opportunity to pass up! Ground-floor opportunities with inspiring companies just dont come along every day.
How long have you been in business? - The company has been in business for almost 5 years and Ive been with them for just over 3 of those years.
What do you like best about the company? - There are many things, but the most important are the owners and the mixes. The owners are fantastic! Melissa and Judy (daughter and mother) are wonderful Christian people and they make it a pleasure to be part of this company. Our mixes are delicious and affordable so everyone can enjoy them.
What has been your biggest challenge? The biggest challenge with a new company is marketing your product. No one has heard of it and may be reluctant to give it a try. Ive spent many Saturdays (and some Sundays) in public places displaying our mixes and sampling to the public. But it pays off because people come back for more!
What has been your greatest strength?
I can envision the future and I dont let today get in the way of tomorrow.
What has been your biggest achievement? - In a relatively short time, I became a Top Team Leader and I have a large team.
What advice would you give women starting out in home business? - Choose a company and a product you can be proud to represent and about which you can remain excited. Its the enthusiasm that will keep you going during those times when it feels like work. Set goals and envision where you want to be in 5years. You should always be looking to the future. You should be able to map your actions today to the road to tomorrow. Try not to take too many detours.
How do you balance work and family? - In my case, Im balancing a full-time job, my gourmet business and family. At one time or another, each has been sacrificed for the other. The key is to not sacrifice family and self too much in the interest of work. Sometimes my gourmet business has to take third place to family and my job. Thats the beauty of a home-based business. You can work it around the other important aspects of your life.
How do you promote your business both offline and online? -I've provided ads on various web sites. I have a magnetic sign on my truck. I participate in many public events, have tasting parties, and I give out a lot of printed information.
What are your business goals for 2009? - I have several goals: double the size of my team, have 30% more tasting parties, and participate in 30 % more public events.
